Been so busy the past couple of weeks that I haven’t had time to catch my breath! So now my No Go Pogo video filmed in Derby is done, had 2 photoshoots and band rehearsals in London, putting finishing touches to my album in Brighton, studiously attending songwriting classes in Guildford. Best to tell it in pictures I think…
Let’s start with the No Go Pogo (single out July 25th) video shoot because it’s so bright and happy.
The perfect going-out partner! Roar…
It was a lovely sunny day outdoors, somewhere towards the Peak District. Dress, jacket and attitude made by yours truly.
No video would be complete without cupcakes sponsored by a lovely young entrepreneur, sourced by the producer on the shoot, photographer Rei Bennett.
Of course I took the opportunity to polish off a couple of them… they were so tasty.
These lovely models were my girlfriends for the evening – Tania Mccalla, Maria, Phoenix Rose and Siobhan.
Might as well party at home with some furry friends…
It’s a wrap! Kudos to Sam Jordan, video director extraordinaire, for distilling 7 hours of messing about into 3 minutes’ worth of pop-tastic goodness.
Back in London, it’s back to serious business with getting tight for our first gig on June 22nd. With Fin the keys wizard, Ed the drums wizard and Mike the bass wizard. Afua the singing siren is behind the camera.
Creative artistic photographer Angela Melling took me to dinner at Sarastro Restaurant near Covent Garden.
Angela then took me outside and gave me some food for thought.
Time to record some vocals at Russ Keffert aka Junk Scientist’s home studio in Brighton! He produced and recorded No Go Pogo back in the day – and did a stellar job.
To top it off, celebrating my birthday in (Elton-John) style at Thai Thai restaurant at Old St!
The next week will see me record, rehearse, gig, pose for photos and party. Watch this space!
