Hello!
Yes I do realise this is a bit belated but time flies when we are having fun! This is one of the best, most productive, fulfilling start to the new year I’ve experienced and I am indeed very grateful and happy! 🙂
A big part of it is moving to my new ‘hood, Canary Wharf. I absolutely love it here – it’s like it’s own country with it’s own sense of community, and everybody says it feels like Singapore :). It’s really wonderful and reassuring to own a piece of home right here in London.
It’s helped with making very positive changes with my lifestyle… and I love the vibe of abundance when I walk amongst these skyscrapers, epicentres of computer money, lit up in the night sky, stock market tickers going, normal people going about their business, going shopping, drinking, dining, maybe working; the vast array of outlets to keep the money flowing round the economy. Anyway, I am very very grateful to my family and friends (and the system!) for being so supportive and involved in this big step of my life!
I’ve also started volunteering with the Singapore UK Association committee (SUKA), where I will be acting their membership secretary and digital head when the new 2014 committee is sworn in. As well as getting knee deep with my PGDip in Digital Marketing and learning how to read Arabic properly… as well as some musical planz. Music that is really making me upbeat, joyful and pumped is hard electronic/dance music at the moment – from Antiloop, Kernkraft, Darude, Harlem Shake(!) I have a rave going on between my ears every day! I think it reflects the kind of landscape and environment I’m surrounded by – angular, imposing, very tall glass buildings, urban, clean, direct. I’ve been ravin’ on the DLR with these sexy walnut headphones – 51st Studios Headphone by Accidentally Extraordinary. The sound is super natural and the fit is very comfortable and it is super reasonably priced for such great looking headphones!
Hope you all enjoyed a wonderful Christmas and New Year, although it feels like a long time ago now – but still, wish you a great and successful 2014! Here’s a video I put up over Christmas, my rendition of the classic song Misty, shot and directed by the ever talented Decibel Pictures. Enjoy!
